Saturday inspiration - Suitsupply S/S 2015

Dutch Suitsupply recently launched their collection for the upcoming season and just this week the company published the look book showcasing the spring and summer selection. Some thoughts of mine regarding the collection and look book on the post I wrote @tyylit.fi There are some really nice pieces available in the collection - for today a combination that would be perfectly suitable for a Saturday night dinner - as soon as the weather gets a bit warmer. Sport coat: Suitsupply - Havana Trousers: Suitsupply Shirt: Suitsupply Vest: Suitsupply Tie & PS: Suitsupply Shoes: Alfred Sargent Shades: Garrett Leight Bracelets: Miansai & All Blues

27012015 - Shades of gray

Today the ensemble I wore was pretty much as colorful as the weather at the moment - Shades of gray featuring a bit of black. The day was quite a basic day in the office with a couple of meetings, so I opted for a light weight wool sport coat by Lubiam combined with the lighter grey flannel slacks (part of a suit) from Sauma and the mid-grey woolen tie I copped from Berg&Berg winter sales a few weeks ago. Even though I rarely wear black shoes for the office these days - for  this combination these black oxfords by Alfred Sargent were the optimal choice. Wearing: Sport coat: L.B.M 1911 Shirt: Eton of Sweden Trousers: Sauma Tie & PS: Berg&Berg Shoes:...

19012015 - Checked blazer in the office

As mentioned a couple of times - after holidays and Pitti  - on Monday it was time to get back in the office and regular day work.Started the week with combination between formal and casual - a bold patterned sport coat by Lardini combined with a new addition in my wardrobe - nice detailed grey flannel trousers from Finealta (more about these coming later) and chestnut colored oxfords by Alfred Sargent. As the sport coat itself is bold enough when it comes to office wear - in terms of color I tried to keep the combination restrained and go with no pattern in the shirt, tie or pocket square. Wearing: Blazer: Lardini Shirt: Isaia (mtm) Trousers: Finealta Tie: Viola Milano...

2014 - Weekend blues

Getting the week started with some shots from Saturday. Had a great day going through some second-hand shops in Helsinki and after that enjoying some burgers at the best burger joint in town at the Market Hall. As the day was luckily rainless, though a bit windy I ended up wearing my woolen overcoat in addition to sweater and a sport coat - all featuring different shades of blue. And so that it would not be too monochromatic a little splash of color in the form of scarf with restraint beige and bold orange in the gloves. Herringbone in the overcoat, checks on the sport coat. Some say you should never wear your overcoat unbuttoned. So I buttoned it. Some...

2014 - Late night Monday details

Started the week in the office with something between formal and casual, wearing my new made-to-measure suit from Sauma. Very satisfied with the result - a two-piece suit made of middle grey (semi) lightweight wool fabric with light blue and brown overcheck. Jacket of the suit is a single-breasted, features 2 patch pockets, 3-roll-2 buttoning and a little roped shoulders. More detailed review (and video) regarding the suit coming up. Wanted to keep the ensemble quite light colored, so picked a white merino wool turtle neck and pocket square (The unicorn square by Drake’s is still my favorite one) & shoes in shades of brown. Based on pictures it seems that my shoes could also use some welt edge dressing for...
