#tyylit-inspiration - inspired by The GIGI

On Saturday I wrote shortly about the spring and summer collection by The GIGI. Inspired by that came up with a collage featuring an outfit that would be ideal for a warm, casual summer weekend. The blue Art suit features a little diamond pattern, giving the shirt a nice texture and the Gigir shirt is picked in classic color but with the mao collar it also keeps the outfit fully casual. Slip-on sneakers are a good alternative to bring a little freshness and blue tote bag by Filson keeps the color scheme monochromatic and restrained. Tuesday-inspiration - What to wear for a job interview

I was recently asked (by Mika, the writer of a blog Ohituskaistalla) about job interviews, what to wear for one, to be exact.  So for today's inspiration a collage featuring simple and plain outfit that I personally would see suitable to wear for a job interview. And of course this has been done bearing in mind the field - legal services - I work in. But it could also be suitable for consulting, finance or whatever where there is a need to dress up and wear a suit for work. A blue suit, white shirt, black shoes and navy (dotted) tie is a classic combination that I would dare to say fulfill (almost) any dress code there is in terms...

Brown in town - office inspiration

Fully back in the office after Christmas holidays and traveling in Italy and the weather looks like there is still time for some decent outerwear as well as heavier fabrics such as wools and flannels. This weeks inspiration arises from classic colors - brown and blue - and pieces such as grey flannel trousers and double monk shoes that are combined with upper parts from the Eton x Eidos-collection presented last fall. Suitable for office - and by dropping the tie and square totally appropriate for casual wear as well. Buttero - spring and summer 2015 @ Pitti Uomo 86

There’s only a week before heading again to Florence for Pitti Uomo 87. As I noticed there are still some unpublished photos regarding the collections and makers I paid a visit in June I thought they would serve as a good “warm up” for the upcoming fair. So next week will be about those few collections for the upcoming season as well as getting ready to travel. Starting with Buttero - Italian shoe maker that nowadays is best know for their high-quality sneakers. Even though the brand may not be that well-known outside the #menswear and sneaker-aficianados, Buttero already celebrated it’s 40th anniversary with the collection that was seen at Pitti last summer. Spring and summer 2015 - “Dirty white” The “theme”...
