Sum up - 5 options for the season
Most of brands and shops already have their full selection for the season available. As a sum-up I have picked five different jackets to help you to find a sport coat for spring.
Are you looking for something bold to start with patterned sport coats? In that case I would personally go for something like this. A jacket with rich texture and vibrant pattern is sure to make an eye-catching addition to your seasonal rotation. If want something that is more appropriate for business occasions as well, go for lighter and more restrained color. This jacket with light colored trousers, denim shirt and suede loafers would be a killer combination for a sunny summer day.
Dark brown is a solid choice not only for casual but also more dressed-up combinations. You can pair it with white, blue, other shades of brown, orange and even purple. If you don't like brown, try olive green. This piece by Caruso is perfect to combine even with denim and superga sneakers. Complete the set with a white popover shirt and you're ready for a relaxed Saturday stroll.
In terms of materials, wool-silk-linen blend is in my opinion one of the best choices especially for Nordic climate. It's cool and light enough for spring and summer, but you can also wear it for fall season. And even if you want to go for some pattern, it doesn't always need to be that bold or strongly visible. I am personally fond of herringbone and therefore this kind of light brown lightweight blazer made it to this list as well. Pair it with light gray wool trousers,
brown shantung silk tie and the
DLA white oxford shirt.
No season without a classic blue blazer. This blazer from airy cotton-hopsack with a herringbone weave and lightweight construction is made to be worn with light denim. For more dressed-up events pair it with cotton or lightweight wool slacks, light blue shirt and the symposium pocket square.
The windowpane jacket is a versatile option between business and casual. You can easily combine it with a pair of navy blue cotton slacks, white button-up shirt and navy grenadine tie for office days. Works also for example with denim and a light blue shirt for more casual occasions.
