BASTONG @ Pitti Uomo 84

Few collection from Florence still left to share. As said earlier one of the best things and feelings going around the fair is seeing new collections and especially the opportunity to find new brands you haven’t covered before.

This time maybe my favorite find took until the last day of the week as I was going through the “Touch” section and more casual types of brands & clothing and bumped into South Korean label Bastong.

Long lasting outerwear

Bastong, as mentioned is a South Korean company,  dedicated to making the perfect outerwear with a philosophy that “Regardless of genre, €˜anything that's well made does work”.

The selection of the brand is still very small (including basically 5 different jackets to be delivered at the moment; “strong”, “casanova”, “warrior”, “pioneer” and “balance” and 2 more in the process to be finished) and each piece is developed over and over with the intention of improving the construction and fit of every garment.

With materials from the UK & Korea and hardware from Japan finished with care and laborious handmade elements Bastong is creating unique and soulful products.

Definitely a brand to keep on your radar.

Got also a chance to try on and test the “balance” jacket, which actually felt, looked and fit great. Would make a perfect piece for fall days.
