Camouflage field jacket and superga sneakers - Casual Saturday

Starting the week again with an outfit from the weekend, this time something a bit more casual - Field jacket together with a chunky roll neck and cotton slacks.

Beams Plus garment dyed M-65 jacket

The field jacket worn is an impulse purchase I copped from Florence during the last Pitti Uomo. A little bit funny is that the jacket (made by Japanese Beams+) is sized as “large”, though it fits me (as seen) perfectly on the shoulders and by no means is not too large at any point. At first I was thinking about taking it in a bit but as the straps on the waist and on the hem can be tightened there’s no need for that at this point.

The jacket is made of camouflage patterned, 65/35 cotton / nylon mix and garment dyed to give it kind of a “vintage” look. It’s basically made more for spring and summer wear as it does not protect one from the wind (at all) but with a chunky sweater such as the one I was wearing on Saturday it goes very well even up to this time of year.

Wore the jacket this time with a chunky roll neck sweater (which as said kept the cold) and light brown incotex cotton trousers. Another option could have been something more dark-colored for the bottom-half to bring more contrast to the look. For example dark blue wool slacks or chinos would definitely work nicely.

Superga sneakers are (as known) ultimate summer kicks but to bring that referred contrast - both in terms of colors and feel - chose to wear them despite the season.
