A few weeks ago - during New York Fashion Week - Eidos Napoli launched their collection for upcoming fall and winter '15. However as we are not there yet - it's a good time to pay attention again to this spring and summer as Eidos yesterday released the look book featuring the collection for the season.
Il Cuore di Pescatore
Earlier collections and look books “This is Rome” (SS14) and “Faces of Firenze” (FW14) are now followed by a line that could be called as “The Soul of a Fisherman” - inspired by the little and beautiful island of Ischia, located a bit outside of Naples in Italy, that also has been called as the land of farmers and fishermen.
The inspiration is shown all-around but goes as far as to the little details of cardigan pockets where the weave is made to resemble old fishing nets and printed maps of Ischia that can be seen not just in pocket squares but that are even printed in the shirts.
Once again Antonio and the crew together with the photographer Glenn Allsop, model Zeph Colombatto have done great job. The look book itself is not just top notch in terms of inspiration but could also described as piece of art telling the story of that little Ischia island.
