Isaia S/S ´14 @ Pitti Uomo 84

After the review of Eidos Napoli (See here) it’s natural to move towards the “big brother” and take a look at Isaia. There’s really not much need to say anything about Isaia in general; once again they brought up a collection that represents Neapolitan tailoring as its best, is candy for the eye and destructive for your wallet.

S/S ´14 - inspired by music

The link and inspiration behind the S/S ´14 is music and songs, traditional in the culture of Neapolitan tailoring. In collection the songs are transformed into colorful clothes with a color palette almost like a rainbow; there’s shades ranging from green, to yellow, passing through red and orange, always to purple, pink and turquoise.

As usual there’s a lot of bold patterns such as wide stripes, windowpanes and checks. For next summer Isaia has also used quite a lot their own camouflage (“coralflage”) design which is featured in bags, shorts and fort example in some of the linings of the jackets.

My personal favorites of the collection were definitely the “pink” and “orange/blue” sections and of what was presented especially the look featuring orange coralflage shorts and blue checked field jacket (pictured above).

More pics behind the break.
