Isaia F/W ´13 @ Pitti Uomo 83

Isaia’s booth was actually the first one for me I went to see at Pitti this season. Not only because of the clothes but because of the great people working for the brand and were nice to see again.

For next fall Isaia has created couple of different color stories and come up with pieces that are not just subtle and solid. A lot of large scale patterns and really surprising and inspiring use of fabrics and textures.

The first part of the collection relies on blue & green and includes pieces such as the blue suit with a bold green windowpane pattern, blue double-breasted chalkstripe suit, blue / grey checked peacoat and my personal favorite, the grey three-piece windowpane suit with a double-breasted vest.

The other color scheme is build on red and burgundy. The key pieces of this part of the collection are definitely the outerwear, red double-breasted overcoat made of casantino wool working as the “crown jewel”.

One of the most interesting choices in terms of patterns and fabrics was definitely the vests and down jackets made of technical fabrics that from a distance looked  just like wool / flannel.

Even though the main colors in the collection were red, green and blue, I was personally really happy to see the use of orange in some in the collection as for me at the moment it’s one of the most used colors in my own wardrobe.

Looking forward for next fall and these pieces to hit in the stores!
