To get the week properly started and go on with the Pitti reviews it’s time for some Isaia goodies.
SS15 - Coral bandana collection
Inspired by and dedicated to the Amalfi Coast and its rich and varied heritage. That’s what the spring and summer 2015 collection of Isaia is about. Color schemes for the season are taken directly from this UNESCO World Heritage site that boasts some of the world's most beautiful panoramas.
Once again Isaia presents personal and unique designs & impeccable craftsmanship. The collection is as usual colorful and heavily patterned as one would expect of Isaia. In terms of colors there are blue, pink, some grey and yellowish that dominate the selection together with a bunch of turquoise and some green tones to bring in nice variation and accent. In addition various denim washes and indigo-dying has been used throughout the collection including both tailored garments and sports wear. Finally plaid and striped shirts are boldly combined with large plaid jackets and patterned ties.
Basically it could be said that again Isaia does it as only Isaia can.
“My first Isaia”
One interesting experiment Isaia told about at the fair is the “My First Isaia”-project the company is launching next summer for the first time.
Idea of the concept is to give younger men, who are in the beginning of building one’s wardrobe a chance to get their first custom-made jacket or a suit with a discount even up to 50%. By this Isaia want to introduce their products - that otherwise might be out of their budget - to these young men.
As they hope and believe, the customer will experience the difference and hopefully in the future go for maybe fewer but better products and who knows - even from Isaia.
A very interesting and respectable concept if you ask me.
And this is how it will look like next spring and summer.
