Season after season Loro Piana comes up with collections that underlines the ease, elegance and form of Italian style of being dressed-up but still casual and "chic" together with Italian craftsmanship. For the season on hand the collection shows full range of garments combining casual and “cosy” gear together with classic elements and style.
The look book of the season offers multiple ideas of how to combine white or light colored trousers into your fall and winter wardrobe - here together with blue oxford and grey cashmere. The jacket made of lighweight Finnish buckskin - exclusive for Loro Piana.
Casual elegance x luxury materials
Italian Loro Piana has been said to be more than a label. It’s been described as a one familys’ devotion to the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality continued already over six generations. Loro Piana could also be described as a “lifestyle brand” as it is not just about the clothes but the overall aesthetics and “concept of luxury”
As majority of the company is nowadays owned by Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton LVMH - it’s fair to say that Loro Piana can no longer be called as “a real family company” but at least so far it seems that the aesthetics, exclusivity and quality has been kept untouched.
That being said, the list of materials in the garments for the season exhales luxury; cashmere bombers, baby cashmere sweaters, knitted baby cashmere vests and scarfs, mink linings, elk leather and deerskin jackets, beaver fur collars and crocodile belts. And the list goes on. On the other hand most of the garments are restrained and understated, letting the quality to speak for itself.
Although it is a fact that numbers on the price tags keep majority of these garments out of reach of most people, it does not stop one of getting inspired by the beautiful, personal and recognizable illustrations of the look book.
