Sales round-up - last weeks acquisitions

I've actually been taking the winter season sales pretty easily as I've felt that there has been no special needs for me at the moment.

However, during the last couple of weeks, last weekend especially I was kind of "forced" to make few snatches and thought I might share them here as well.

1) Double-breasted suit by Rose&Born in dark grey herringbone wool

I had had it in mind for a while now that I could try and find myself a new suit in grey, hopefully something that would work as separate (the jacket at least) as well. Had an hour to spend in Stockholm on Monday as I was there in business and decided to spend it at Rose&Born, hoping I would find something - and I did indeed.

As pictured I found a dark grey herringbone wool suit from their private line. Double-breasted (4x2), soft shoulders, very lightweight construction and three patch pockets makes the jacket pretty much exactly what I was looking for. And the trousers with side adjusters (and no belt loops) fitting me perfectly were a nice bonus.

Also found a nice spread collar button-up made of pique cloth in burnt orange. That will definitely make a great addition to the my summer rotation.

2) Viola Milano grenadine ties in forest green and burgundy

First of all there’s probably no ties that are more versatile than basic grenadines, which are as suitable with the most conservative business dress as they are when paired with light denim, casual button-up shirts and soft tailored sport coats.  Secondly, with subtle colors such as burgundy or forest green you can never go wrong. Not on sale but couple of complements to the rotation from Viola Milano.

3) Berno bracelets and accessories

During Pitti Uomo I had the pleasure once again meet Olof; not only a good friend and editor for the Swedish manolo.se but also an owner of recently launched accessories brand Berno.

From bracelets and watch straps to elastic belts they offer decent products featuring inspiring designs with very affordable price range.

4) Mismo grid shopper bag (denim blue / cuoio)

Saw this bag first time at Pitti Uomo 83 (IIRC) a bit over a year ago and thought then that it was the perfect shopper - featuring guaranteed Mismo quality, top notch design and personal look. Last weekend visited at My O My @ Erottaja as I remembered that they could still have one piece left at storage. Well, they don’t have it anymore.

5) Buttero sneakers

After buying my first pair of Buttero sneakers last summer I’ve been waiting a chance to get another. And when found these dark brown ones from Zalando for around 70 euros, that was a deal I had to take. Simply the best sneakers I’ve ever worn.

Now I think I’m done with new purchases until our trip to New York in the middle of March.
