Buttero - Pitti Uomo 87

Outside the scope of tailored #menswear, Italian Buttero - a company with over 40 years of experience of making high quality boots and shoes - is on of the stands I regularly make a visit during Pitti Uomo. This time they came up with a collection consisted of darker tones and options covering full range of casual footwear from their classic sneakers to runners and new innovated chelsea boots.Buttero FW2015 - not only sneakersAs mentioned above, in terms of colors and overall aesthetics the collection for next fall and winter is in fact pretty dark consisting of light brown, black, grey and burgundy - all matched and combined coherently. And not only the colors are mixed - the same has been done...

Buttero - spring and summer 2015 @ Pitti Uomo 86

There’s only a week before heading again to Florence for Pitti Uomo 87. As I noticed there are still some unpublished photos regarding the collections and makers I paid a visit in June I thought they would serve as a good “warm up” for the upcoming fair. So next week will be about those few collections for the upcoming season as well as getting ready to travel. Starting with Buttero - Italian shoe maker that nowadays is best know for their high-quality sneakers. Even though the brand may not be that well-known outside the #menswear and sneaker-aficianados, Buttero already celebrated it’s 40th anniversary with the collection that was seen at Pitti last summer. 2014 - casual @ work.

No meetings means denim (and naturally no socks) in the office. No surprises, playing with simple and solid colors. As mentioned yesterday, white cotton slacks are one my personal summer staples in terms of any even little more dressed-up occasions. But when it comes to those more casual set ups, four out of five times my choice is a classic field jacket and light colored denim. The rest depends on the day, this time ended up with a lightweight merino-wool crew neck sweater, white button-up to keep the balance and finally spice it up a little with those Buttero tanino-sneakers. Field Jacket: JC Crewneck sweater: Uniqlo Shirt: Schoffa Jeans: Cheap Monday Belt: Ralph Lauren  Sneakers: Buttero Bag: Mismo

Opumo x Footwear

Opumo just recently took a huge leap as they expanded their collection from various accessories to cover casual footwear as well. And not only did they bring one or two models available but multiple choices from 6 different brands (Sanders, Grenson, Mark Mcnairy, Buttero, Sperry Top-Sider and YMC) Decided to pick few of my favorites from the launched selection. Buttero blue suede low sneakers Exclusive to Opumo for spring-summer ´14 this pair features Italian suede uppers, leather laces, metal eyelets and off-white rubber soles. Suitable with light colored denim or white cotton slacks for example, my absolute favorite from the collection. Sanders suede wingtip brogues (navy & green) Colored suede uppers and natural crepe soles - a nice choice for casual...

Sales round-up - last weeks acquisitions

I've actually been taking the winter season sales pretty easily as I've felt that there has been no special needs for me at the moment. However, during the last couple of weeks, last weekend especially I was kind of "forced" to make few snatches and thought I might share them here as well. 1) Double-breasted suit by Rose&Born in dark grey herringbone wool I had had it in mind for a while now that I could try and find myself a new suit in grey, hopefully something that would work as separate (the jacket at least) as well. Had an hour to spend in Stockholm on Monday as I was there in business and decided to spend it at Rose&Born, hoping...
