Sartoria Rossi is an Italian manufacturer with a - one could claim - different philosophy in terms of classic menswear than many others. Rossi is a company that combines well made and quality clothing - pieces normally more suitable for business and other formal occasions - with bold prints such as stripes and windowpanes and bright colors.
Sartoria Rossi is still a relatively unknown company that started its business and tradition as tailors in the 1970s. Family business was established in Val di Chiana, between Arezzo and Siena in the heart of Tuscany, same place where head production of the garments is still located.
The look book of company’s fall and winter collection shows a lot of bright and bold garments - still featuring sophisticated style, combining together classic elements of dressing-up and “Italian peacocking”.
Sartoria Rossi back in Helsinki
For Finnish people Sartoria Rossi is not totally unfamiliar as the company used to have a boutique in Helsinki until it was closed a few years ago.
For those who have been missing it good news came this fall when the boutique was opened again, this time right in the center of the city at Kluuvikatu 1. I took my first glimpse of the store last weekend and one thing that got my attention was the fact that it was decorated exactly the same way than their stores in Italy (or elsewhere) I have visited. A nice (and I dare to say professional) detail when building up a brand.
More about the store and the selection of Sartoria Rossi coming up later.
