As an inspiration boost for the weekend a quick look into the fall and winter collection for this season by Italian Tagliatore.
The garments designed by Tagliatore - its head designer Pino Lerario to be exact - get their inspiration from the Italian and Neapolitan classic tailoring but are enriched with special and personal accessories. Even though Tagliatore is still quite an unknown name for many - among those who know - it is regarded as one of the top names in terms of fabric treatments, production processes, innovation and design. And when all this is combined with a decent price range it is no surprise that the brand arouses interest.
Bold patterned sport coats
For this season the collection of Tagliatore seems to feature full range of checks, windowpanes and also some strong micro-patterns. All these are combined with lapels that could be taken from a collection of Tom Ford. If you are not a friend of wide lapels, this collection is not for you.
After bypassing the bold patterns and wide lapels one can take a closer look and pay attention to texture of fabrics, the soft shapes of the jackets, vivid nuances of colors and the level of finishing that shows for example in the way the pattern matching on the jackets is made.
It seems that waistcoats and vests are making a new coming as a trend again and if you ask me, these versions - especially the double-breasted ones - by Tagliatore are making a strong statement behalf of that comeback.
Where to buy Tagliatore?
Unfortunately Tagliatore is not that easy to find online but here are a few sites worth taking a look. Worth a look even though you would not be a friend of those bold patterns - as most of these stores storage a selection and pieces that are a lot more restrained than the ones seen on the look book.
