THE GIGI F/W ´14 lookbook preview

A while ago, after Pitti Uomo 85 I wrote about THE GIGI, a “newcomer” on the market. The GIGI is a project by Mario and Pierluigi Boglioli who with this new label want to experiment, research and to create new innovations in terms of materials, processing techniques and finishes.

Recently I just got a glimpse of their upcoming look book which - even though it’s almost summer - I wanted to share. The pictures seen below really nicely showcase the collection that’s build on softness, maximum comfort, rough textures and sporty feelings without making any compromises in terms of quality. The softness and treatments of fabrics used along with the high degree of handwork invested in each piece results in a line that is interesting, challenging, creative and distinguishable. This look book almost cause you to miss  for the fall.

The company is also just finishing it’s new website so keep your eyes on that and stay tuned.

The “knitted” sport coat under the double-breasted overcoat looks fantastic for casual fall days.

One of the most interesting point of views in the collection are the different prints as seen in this sport coat.

More prints and earthy tones. The softness of fabrics makes most of them to seem and feel like a second skin.

More casual pieces - chunky rollnecks, patterned jackets and rough textures.

The collection though is not just casual - soft tailored 3-piece with a double-breasted vest. Suitable for any business-dinner.
