After yesterday's take on the seasonal collection of Drake's London another look book and dose of inspiration for the week, this time from Asia.
Japanese brand and retailer BEAMS - one of the most interesting names in terms of menswear - a while ago released multiple different look books or catalogues for this season and pictures below have been taken from one them, named "in The style" which features mostly tailored garments together with some a bit more casual and relaxed elements.
If you're not yet familiar with BEAMS, to put it shortly, it is a Japan-based retailer that was founded in 1976 and has since expanded into one of the biggest Japanese clothing retailers. The company offers multiple different lines for both women and men, of which the Beams Plus - a line that combines kind of modern Japanese take with classic americana and even ivy league-elements - is probably the most famous and well-known in Europe.
The look book gives eight different looks ranging from business suits and dressed-up sport coat combinations all the way to casual leather bombers, casentino coats, denim and big shawl scarves, all implemented in a quite inspiring way.
No brown in town? Brown checked suit with derby bluchers and checked overcoat – appropriate for business but still quite casual.
Roll neck sweater and that little texture on the trousers smoothly restrains the strong pattern of blue sport coat.
Perfect seasonal layering with a bold sport, cardigan, wool tie and denim shirt.
Blues for business.
Same trousers than in the second picture, here combined in a totally different way though.
Going for city casual? Hiking boots might be a good option for those a bit colder and rainy days in the city.
Dark blue denim combined with camel colored casentino wool and chunky roll neck sweater. And that big shawl will definitely keep you warm.
Check the rest of look book and other catalogues from the BEAMS website.
