As mentioned yesterday, gray wool suit is staple for fall and winter season. When the days start to get colder it feels natural to change jackets and suits made of lighter fabrics to more subtle wool and flannels and hues of blue to darker shades of gray and brown (and of course blue again).  The structure and details can make a great difference in terms of how versatile a suit can be. And of course the fabric plays a role as well. However, many suits can be made more versatile if they just are combined correctly. BEAMS fall and winter 2015

After yesterday's take on the seasonal collection of Drake's London another look book and dose of inspiration for the week, this time from Asia. Japanese brand and retailer BEAMS - one of the most interesting names in terms of menswear - a while ago released multiple different look books or catalogues for this season and pictures below have been taken from one them, named "in The style" which features mostly tailored garments together with some a bit more casual and relaxed elements. Cotton suit - the most versatile suit

The cotton suit might be one of the most underappreciated garments in men's summer wardrobe. Despite that I had for a long time been thinking about getting one commissioned for myself. Today I am taking a look at the result. A suit might sometimes sound like the last thing you want to put on during hot and sunny summer days. There are still many ways to cool down the look and make it appropriate for the weather. First of all by choosing lightweight fabrics and unlined models one can fight the hear.
