For some reason I’ve left Lubiam to be one the last brands to show, maybe because I think the photos I took don’t make justice to the collection which I actually liked maybe even more than the two previous ones I’ve seen from them. Unlike most of the exhibitors Lubiam had for this season changed the layout of the stand a bit (and maybe this made it too difficult for me to shoot) which also gave a nice refreshment. Also this time they had present a lot of pieces from maybe their most unknown label “Brando”, in the same space with the other collections. Being my personal favorite for the last two Pitti Uomo fairs, I was definitely looking forward to see Tombolini and their collection this time as well. In general it should be said that for every season (this one not being an exception) Tombolini comes up with one of the most comprehensive collections covering not only business, formal, casual or some “trendy” parts of their line-up at the booth but the whole selection in a very compatible way. Playfullness, masculinity and fabric experimentation First of all I need to say that the photos do not do justice to the S/S ´14 collection by Boglioli that was built and presented in the middle of daisies, gardenias and peach blossoms in their very own house during the fair. Eidos Napoli was one of the brands I was most looking forward to see during this summer’s Pitti Uomo. Eidos - that in some instances has been described as a younger brother of Isaia - was firstly introduced in the spring as they presented their collection for fall ´13 and now made its first appearance at Pitti Uomo, Florence. Even though Eidos is in fact own by Isaia these brands should be considered totally separated as they have quite distinct perspective on how to wear tailored clothing, distinct target groups as well as distinct price point.
