Noux Clothing - arising brand from the North

Made in Finland - Inspired by the Nordic heritage Few weeks ago I got the a pleasure to take part at the launch of new Finnish brand Noux Clothing, held at My O My. Personally I was really happy to be there as the launch materialized a project of a friend of mine who I know have been working with the idea for quite a while. The idea of making shoes “made in Finland” is more than rare nowadays. However for few years these guys have been pushing forward their dream and finally the shoes (together additional beanies) are on the market.  At the moment there’s one model available, “The Nuorgam Boot” which is derived from the traditional Lappish shoe combined...

Sauma - getting ready for the fall and winter

Last week I wrote shortly about the mtm-days going on at Sauma (see it here) and as mentioned took also a glimpse of their range for this season. In addition to Montecore, Tombolini, Cavaliere, Gran Sasso, Berwich, John Smedley and others, for this season they also got Italian Tagliatore as a new brand to the selection.  Generally speaking I’d say that in terms of both the whole selection and individual pieces, Sauma has really come up with a nice assortment for this season, maybe even the best I’ve seen in the store so far, even though they were still last week waiting for some outerwear additions by Tombolini and Tagliatore as well as some knitwear from Gran Sasso. Subtle mini...

Schoffa "VIP Night" @ Galleria Esplanad

Today after work I had a pleasure to visit at Schoffa while the “VIP Night” they had arranged for their friends and customers. A great get-together with nice people, good catering, some nice offerings and of course, free champagne. What would be a better way to spend your evening. I also got the chance to take a little closer look at their new selection of ties, scarves, pocket squares and some new shirt fabrics (including some nice flannels) for the season. Especially liked the grenadine ties (actually bought one earlier today when I just quickly popped to the shop) and the paisley patterned wool scarves. They also have a got a new line of “Schoffa”-labeled suits for this fall. Taking...

Schoffa - Fitted shirting

Finnish clothing company Schoffa opened it’s first store in 2006. Since then they’re business has been growing all the time and at the moment Schoffa has two brick and mortar stores in Helsinki (Pohjoisesplanadi 33 @ Galleria Esplanad & Unioninkatu 27) and one in Tallinn they opened nearly a year ago (Foorum keskus Narva Mnt 5). In addition they have a webstore to serve clients from all over the world. From the very beginning, the idea behind the concept has been to create fitted shirts for conscious customers, to be an expert of shirts as said by themselves. As said, the main product Schoffa offers is shirts. First and foremost made-to-measure shirts but nowadays ready to wear-shirts as well. All the shirts (mtm and rtw) are...
