10/05/2015 - Mother’s day lunch

Yesterday was Mother's Day which we also celebrated by having lunch with my family at NJK, located at a little island just at the front of Helsinki. As the day was sunny and quite warm (despite the wind) decided to go for quite light shades and lightweight materials. And this time as we also had an "outside" photographer (my brother), I got my best accessory to the picture as well€¦ Can't do this often as she totally leaves me in her shadow€¦   Wearing: Sport coat: Pal Zileri Shirt: Isaia (mtm) Trousers: Berwich Tie & PS: Viola Milano Shoes: Meermin Pics by Malin Sandberg

Berg&Berg online outlet - open again

Starting the week with a sales tip. Berg&Berg just started their annual online outlet with great savings on previous collections and samples. The online outlet will be open for two weeks until the 24th of May and seems to be filled with ties, knitted ties, bow ties, scarves, pocket squares, knitwear, leather goods, belts and socks from previous summer and winter collections, offering 50-70% savings on a wide range of items. Some real bargains out there, especially in terms of the leather goods, cashmere goodies and ties. Picked out a few of my favorites. A casual tie crafted from a rustic wool/silk fabric with a classic houndstooth pattern in blue and white - pair with some white or light blue...

2015 - First of May

We celebrated the first of May yesterday quite casually by having brunch with a few friends of ours. I did not feel like wearing a suit as mentioned in the inspiration post here but as the weather was still quite chilly and windy I opted for a roll neck sweater, jersey blazer and a field jacket as top layer combined with denim and just washed Superga sneakers. Wearing: Field jacket: Beams Plus Blazer: Rose&Born Rollneck: Berg&Berg Denim: Weekday Sneakers: Superga PS: Monsieur Fox Bag: Mismo

Thursday inspiration - casully celebrating the 1st of May

A couple of days I wrote shortly about the 2015 look book by P.Johnson Tailors. As tomorrow is a national holiday here in Finland and many people are going to celebrate that - came up with an outfit that could suit that celebration - inspired by the looks of P.Johnson Tailors. A sand-colored cotton (/linen) suit is a summer staple and combined with driving mocs and merino wool polo shirt it's a perfect look for casual spring and summer celebration. As the weather might still however be a little bit unstable one might want to prepare by putting on a field jacket that will bring a little protection against possible wind and rain. Field jacket: Herno Suit: Boglioli Shirt &...

P.Johnson Tailors lookbook 2015

When looking for inspiration - one of the most useful sources I go for is P.Johnson Tailors - a company run by two guys, Patrick Johnson and Tom Riley that just recently actually opened a new showroom in New York and so widened their range outside of Australia. And not just their look books or products but the style of Patrick and Tom themselves, where the style of the company is present naturally and prominently. For weekly dose of inspiration however a few shots from the new look book of P.Johnson Tailors that consists of looks that have been implemented simply and effectively yet with ease. Even though almost all of the looks are firmly on the casual side of...
