Today taking a look of how to wear a light colored patterned sport coat with light colored trousers. What to consider when both main parts of the outfit are quite light in color. There really ain't any "rules" of "how to wear a sport coat with patterned fabrics". But in general one should keep in mind - the bigger, bold and vivid the pattern, the smaller is the potential for the jacket being used in formal or business oriented combinations. Whereas I like to keep my suits quite simple and plain, in terms of sport coats I rather go for plaids, checks or some other lively patterns. For today a few detail shots from last week. Featured in the pics is a checked cotton sport coat by Pal Zileri that I don't actually wear that often nowadays but that is a great piece for relaxed casual office days. Yesterday was Mother's Day which we also celebrated by having lunch with my family at NJK, located at a little island just at the front of Helsinki. As the day was sunny and quite warm (despite the wind) decided to go for quite light shades and lightweight materials.
And this time as we also had an "outside" photographer (my brother), I got my best accessory to the picture as well€¦ Can't do this often as she totally leaves me in her shadow€¦
