FEDELI Cashmere @ Pitti Uomo 83

Love for elegance and passion for the individual Fedeli - a company founded in Monza 1934, being one of the oldest knitwear companies in Italy - is nowadays known as one the “big names” in the league of cashmere, gold of textiles as said by the head of the company Luigi (Gigi) Fedeli. The company’s F/W collection pays exclusive attention to details and proposes an overall line that covers not just clothing but also shoes and accessories in different types leather and lined in cashmere. There were a lot of interesting pieces in the collection such as double-faced fabrics, patterned jersey shirts and awesome hand-knitted 8-ply cashmere cardigans. Kanpekina Perfetto shoes @ Pitti Uomo 83

Japanese Perfetto (that according to some people working in the industry is among the best shoemakers in the world)  is one of the more distinctive manufacturers presented at Pitti Uomo. Their secret and strength is especially the range of classic models (such as balmoral or button boots) executed with pretty unexpected mixtures of leathers, fabrics and patterns. At the moment Perfetto shoes are not easy to find from Europe (according to my knowledge they have one retailer in Paris, France) but if you happen to bump into these, this is definitely a brand not to miss. You’ll find the post showing Kanpekina collection at Pitti Uomo 82 from here.

Carmina @ Pitti Uomo 83.

Carmina is at the moment one of the finest shoemakers on the market, some could say even the best at the price range in which it competes. They definitely are one of my personal favorites as well so for me it was one of the “compulsory” visits.  There are also breaking news for us living in Finland considering the brand. Carmina shoes will soon be available at Sauma.  Cordovan collection: New models - Jodhpur boot & calf/suede chelsea boot New lasts - Detroit If I had to pick one, it would be hard… Pictures of my visit at their store in Barcelona coming later.

Lubiam F/W ´13 @ Pitti Uomo 83

Casual elegance combined with tailored appeal. Thing that characterizes Lubiam F/W ´13 collection is that many of the fabrics used in it have been enriched with kind of a special dyeing treatment process and exclusive wash (especially the L.B.M 1911 pieces) that gives the garments an “old & lived appeal”. Colors used are much natural, tones of blue, grey and brown but there are also strong colors such as orange, green and red bordeaux presented especially in the outerwear pieces. And as many others, Lubiam also had this season a bunch of outerwear pieces made of Casentino wool. This type of wool is a Tuscan tradition where the wool fabric is treated in such a way that it gives it a unique curled...
