Denim shirt - how to find the right one?

Are you looking for a versatile shirt to combine with your sport coats? Or something to wear under your suit on a casual Friday. If you are, a high-quality denim shirt is an option worth to consider. Put This On recently published an inspiring article about denim shirts. After that I realized that I actually have almost as many denim shirts in my closet than I have usable white button-up shirts. That is a clear sign of my relationship with denim shirts. I do like them a lot. But what makes a denim shirt my favorite? align="alignnone" From last summer at Pitti Uomo - wearing monochrome blue look, featuring a dark blue denim shirt. Checked suit - easy to dress up and down

How to wear a suit featuring check-pattern? Here I try to give you a simple example of how to pull off a checked suit. This is a basic example of what I tend to wear for work. It is an appropriate choice for days when I need to be dressed up a bit but not in the most formal way however.  Checked suit - made-to-measure by Vaatturiliike Sauma The suit pictured is a made-to-measure piece by Sauma. What makes it interesting is that they just got a new supplier for their private label suiting that based on pictures and examples I’ve seen is looking more than promising.  It seems that there are some fabrics available that would make a great summer sport coats and suits. Green is the new black. This as double-breasted jacket w/ patch pockets would be awesome with some with cotton slacks. This summer gonna be about checks? Inspirational “look book” featuring examples of fabrics (even shirt fabrics) and how to combine them. This can make the decision-making really easy. Or just harder… Sale tip In addition the...

ISAIA - Neapolitan tradition

Three weeks ago during the mtm-days @ Fere I met Tommaso and Davide of ISAIA.  A few words and pictures of that day… One of the reasons for my visit was to make an order for a new shirt. So the first thing I did was going through a bunch of fabrics. As normally most of my shirts are light blue or plain white, I decided to look for something a bit bolder. Believe me, not an easy task to make up your mind… checks x checks x checks… Quality points of Isaia mtm-shirts: - Hand made buttonholes - Buttons hand sewn with a coral shape - Armhole stitched and basted by hand - Hand sewn mouche used as a little reinforcement -...
