Handmade from Detroit (and Napoli) - Francesco Serraiocco ties

I have said it earlier but one of the best things in #menswear is when you get to know new brands, new garments and people behind them. In the summer a friend of my Corey, who also is the founding editor of A&H Magazine introduced me a brand I had no earlier experience or knowledge about, though I had seen some pics on web and on instagram which had attracted my interest. The brand was and is called Francesco Serraiocco.  An example of wearing the tie in "smart casual" set-up. For more details and pics check the post here. DLA x Berg&Berg - Tie your tie sneak peek I wrote earlier shortly about the new f/w collection by Berg&Berg (check the post here). Recently Mathis and Karin were kind to send a few items from the collection for a review. The ties I selected from the collection, including some cashmere, wool and grenadine & shantung silk are shown in the pics above. As you can see, I ended up with pretty basic and toned down choices - both in terms of patterns and colors. Will soon come up with few points how to combine different colors and materials and “how to tie your tie”. All of these have already seen more or less use, for more detailed pics check...

Berg&Berg F/W ´14

Today taking a look at the fall and winter collection of Norwegian Berg&Berg, a company known for producing quality accessories and knitwear with a reasonable price tag which has made it a favorite for many, including myself. There are more handrolled and untipped ties, more sixfolds and a wider range of fabrics than ever before which as they say themselves - makes this their most exciting tie collection ever. In terms of fabrics there’s gonna be ties made of silk grenadine, wool/silk grenadine, shantung, ancient madder silk, various printed silks, jacquards, wool, wool/silk blends and even cashmere. For the first time the company also has a...

Mismo F/W ´14 @ Pitti Uomo 85

No compromises but the best in everything, aiming to create instant classics that will last for years in terms of design and durability.  That’s what Mismo basically is. As expected, Adam and Rikke have done great job once again and created a collection that’s maybe the best that’s been seen from them so far. As usual the collection presents some new materials and mixtures such as the distressed leather in black and “dark tan” seen in the pics above. There’s also new developments in technical fabrics and the lightweight polyester blends featured in the “casual” collection will probably be a favorite for many. In terms of models, there’s gonna be a new backpack, some new innovations in tote bags and also an...
