Tuesday-inspiration - What to wear for a job interview

I was recently asked (by Mika, the writer of a blog Ohituskaistalla) about job interviews, what to wear for one, to be exact.  So for today's inspiration a collage featuring simple and plain outfit that I personally would see suitable to wear for a job interview. And of course this has been done bearing in mind the field - legal services - I work in. But it could also be suitable for consulting, finance or whatever where there is a need to dress up and wear a suit for work. 27012015 - Shades of gray

Today the ensemble I wore was pretty much as colorful as the weather at the moment - Shades of gray featuring a bit of black. The day was quite a basic day in the office with a couple of meetings, so I opted for a light weight wool sport coat by Lubiam combined with the lighter grey flannel slacks (part of a suit) from Sauma and the mid-grey woolen tie I copped from Berg&Berg winter sales a few weeks ago. Even though I rarely wear black shoes for the office these days - for  this combination these black oxfords by Alfred Sargent were the optimal choice. Cold day inspiration for a casual weekend

Getting ready for a casual weekend - inspired by Bastong, a Korean brand specialized in hight quality outerwear. Bastong is also one of the brands I once again most look forward to see next week at Pitti. Unfortunately their products are not really easily available in Europe, but check for their own web store for more. The parka jacket is combined with a roll neck made by Gran Sasso, another personal favorite and some blue toned denim. Cashmere beanie and a classc Acne Studios "Canada" scarf to keep one warm. In terms of colors this is one more safe played combination that you can't really go wrong with. The difference is made through those little things and quality details such as...

Back to the office in light colored flannel

After week and a half Christmas holidays it was time to get back at the office yesterday. As the weather has again gone cold as hell I opted for some flannel and layering. Shades of brown & Tombolini light colored flannel The suit is camel colored, unstructured and very light weight flannel suit by Italian Tombolini. Despite the light color it is a perfect choice for cold Finnish winter. I decided to pair it with dark brown cashmere cardigan from Uniqlo to stay warm in the cold. I chose a dark brown grenadine tie by Berg&Berg and light blue button-up shirt. The shirt is in fact a mtm-piece by Proper Cloth. Finally the shades of  brown and the blue are...
