5 x denim shirt

After writing on Wednesday about denim shirts I got a couple of questions about where to get them. The question is quite accurate as the limited edition of denim fabrics for custom shirts by Proper Cloth mentioned in the post was sold out in less than 12 hours. So I decided to come up with a few ready-to-wear options to check out in case you are looking for a denim shirt to wear this spring and summer. The picture above - by Gothenburg-based Spiga3 - showcasing a Finamore denim shirt together with a sport coat by Boglioli and Entre Ami cream white colored cotton trousers is a great example of springish way to combine denim. Eton of Sweden - Pitti Uomo 87

Swedish shirt maker Eton is not just one the multiple different shirt makers any more. Last year they launched the most interesting collaboration - when it comes to #menswear - with Eidos Napoli and season after season they seem to step up their game not just in terms of shirts but with the range of accessories and overall look and feeling of the brand as well. 27012015 - Shades of gray

Today the ensemble I wore was pretty much as colorful as the weather at the moment - Shades of gray featuring a bit of black. The day was quite a basic day in the office with a couple of meetings, so I opted for a light weight wool sport coat by Lubiam combined with the lighter grey flannel slacks (part of a suit) from Sauma and the mid-grey woolen tie I copped from Berg&Berg winter sales a few weeks ago. Even though I rarely wear black shoes for the office these days - for  this combination these black oxfords by Alfred Sargent were the optimal choice. Casentino wool overcoat and grey flannel - throwback Thursday

For a little Thursday evening throwback an outfit from last week featuring some Casentino wool and flannel. As can be seen from the pictures, we had a real winter and snow here in Helsinki for a while, which at the moment seems to be gone again though. Casentino overcoat by Tagliatore Even though for some it might look just like a fabric gone ruined - Casentino can be considered as a classic choice for overcoat material and for the last couple of fall and winter seasons it seems many producers have been thinking that way. Here shown as a double-breasted version by Italian Tagliatore in light brown (camel) color, featuring peak lapels and patch pockets. Although the coat might be a little light...
