Gray double-breasted suit - versatile choice for fall part I

Gray wool suit is staple for fall and winter season. When the days start to get colder it feels natural to change jackets and suits made of lighter fabrics to more subtle wool and flannels and hues of blue to darker shades of gray and brown (and of course blue again). I bought the suit featured here - made of Dugdale Bros & co gray herringbone wool fabric - from Rose&Born couple seasons ago and it has since been one of my favorites. It is suitable for work as seen here but it also works for more casual combinations together with roll necks, double monks and loafers. Featured in the pics is a checked cotton sport coat by Pal Zileri that I don't actually wear that often nowadays but that is a great piece for relaxed casual office days. Checks and details I bought the jacket in pictures a couple of years go from Milan. As mentioned, it hasn't got as much wear as many of my other jackets which might partly be because of the shoulder structure which is a bit more padded that most of my other jackets. Another...

Decided to go with my favorite suit - a made-to-measure piece from Sauma, made of light weight wool cloth by Vitale Barberis. Striped shirt from Mastai Ferretti, bottle green grenadine tie from Viola Milano and linen pocket square by Berg&Berg. Dressed up but something that could be called as office casual. The sale season is on and Norwegian Berg&Berg - also a DLA-partner -just this morning started their seasonal sale. Reductions are between 30-40%, including almost the entire spring & summer collection of ties, pocket squares, socks, belts, swimwear and knitwear. Taking into account the already reasonable prices there are some really nice finds available. Below are listed some of my personal favorites. Ties It seems that in terms of ties almost the entire spring and summer collection - including silk, linen and cotton ties in various colors and patterns   - are all 40% off and the dotted garza fina grenadine ties 30% off. My personal recommendations is to go for classic colors and patterns - especially the handrolled linen...
