Today taking a look of how to wear a light colored patterned sport coat with light colored trousers. What to consider when both main parts of the outfit are quite light in color. There really ain't any "rules" of "how to wear a sport coat with patterned fabrics". But in general one should keep in mind - the bigger, bold and vivid the pattern, the smaller is the potential for the jacket being used in formal or business oriented combinations. On the other hand with a sport coat featuring slight windowpane or prince of wales-check one can easily and imperceptibly "dress up"otherwise casual ensembles such as cotton slacks and button-up shirt or a roll neck sweater. Pictures shown above are a throwback from last spring (from review how to wear blue&burgundy) but the reason for posting them again is really the pocket square I am wearing in those pics. A pocket square by The Monsieur Fox.
Recently I got the honor to be featured at their series called "A look into" and answer a few questions about my personal style. If you haven't yet read it, check it out at Monsieur Fox website.

It is suitable for work as seen here but it also works for more casual combinations together with roll necks, double monks and loafers. Last weeks have been pretty busy so just a few shots from yesterday....
Inspired by my own outfit from last weekend - also featured earlier this week in this post - I came up with a collage featuring similar pieces as seen in that ensemble. Suede varsity jacket / bomber by Golden Bear is a suitable piece for those who are looking for a versatile casual jacket. It can easily be worn with denim and casual button-up shirts or t-shirts but when paired with a clean and fitted roll neck sweater and cotton trousers the result is something that could be described as casual chic. The season for white sneakers is almost over (at least here in Finland) so wear them while you still can but do not forget that those colder days and...
