Cold day inspiration for a casual weekend

Getting ready for a casual weekend - inspired by Bastong, a Korean brand specialized in hight quality outerwear. Bastong is also one of the brands I once again most look forward to see next week at Pitti. Unfortunately their products are not really easily available in Europe, but check for their own web store for more. The parka jacket is combined with a roll neck made by Gran Sasso, another personal favorite and some blue toned denim. Cashmere beanie and a classc Acne Studios "Canada" scarf to keep one warm. In terms of colors this is one more safe played combination that you can't really go wrong with. The difference is made through those little things and quality details such as...

Tombolini spring and summer 2015 @ Pitti Uomo 86

Before moving on to Pitti Uomo 87 next week there is room for one more review dating back to June - featuring Tombolini, a classic Italian family company that celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Shades of blue and business wear Tombolini has every time at Pitti been one of my personal favorites as they keep coming up with comprehensive collections that cover not only business, formal, casual or some "trendy" parts of their line-up at the booth but the whole selection in a very compatible way. Sales tip to start the week - Berg & Berg

The sale season is on and Norwegian Berg&Berg - also a DLA-partner -just started their seasonal sale. Reductions are between 30-40%, including almost the entire fall & winter collection. Taking into account the already reasonable prices there are some really nice finds available. Below are listed some of my personal favorites.  Ties It seems that in terms of ties almost the entire fall and winter collection - including solid wools, paisleys, plaids and stripes in silk, wool, cashmere and cotton - are all 40% off and the grenadine ties 30% off. Especially in case you are looking to make some additions to your grenadine-selection this is one of the best deals in terms of price-quality-ratio you can find. In case looking...

Monthly DLA-instagram review - December

Starting the year with (once more) some pictures from last year posted via instagram. Christmas gift in detail - Drake's London Mughal print scarf

Light weight wool mughal print scarf by Drake’s London Sometimes a little bit of color or unusual pattern can bring an appropriate amount of edge to otherwise quite classic and simple winter ensemble. Here the orange mughal printed scarf by Drake’s is worn together with a checked flannel suit by G.Abo Napoli, made-to-order grenadine tie made by Arcuri Cravatte and shirt from Kamakura. Pocket square from The Tie Bar and shoes by Carmina. The scarf pictured - which I’ve been longing for (in this particular color) since I saw it the first time at Pitti Uomo last January when it was featured at the Drake’s London collection for this fall and winter season - was given to me as a Christmas gift...
