040414 - Uniformish Friday

Last day of the week with a couple meetings to go through. No need for a full suit so ended up going with a pretty much “uniform look” in flannel featuring what else but simple colors mainly in tones of blue and grey. Wool blazer by Mabro and checked blue mtm-shirt by Isaia. Trousers made of lighweight dark grey flannel (Finealta) and lighter grey cashmere tie from Viola Milano. Pocket square by Schoffa and shoes (which definitely needed to be sweeped after taking the shot) made by Crockett&Jones for Paul Smith.

Schoffa "VIP Night" @ Galleria Esplanad

Today after work I had a pleasure to visit at Schoffa while the “VIP Night” they had arranged for their friends and customers. A great get-together with nice people, good catering, some nice offerings and of course, free champagne. What would be a better way to spend your evening. Most of the listed items can be found from stores based in Helsinki but there are also some webstore choices included. And of course these are just ideas that you can easily modify for your own purposes. 1) Soft packages… Considering the weather in Finland, wool beanies, scarves, gloves or for example cashmere socks are always a safe choice. When buying a gift for some else it’s better to keep it simple and understated than trying to “cheer...

Schoffa - Fitted shirting

Finnish clothing company Schoffa opened it’s first store in 2006. Since then they’re business has been growing all the time and at the moment Schoffa has two brick and mortar stores in Helsinki (Pohjoisesplanadi 33 @ Galleria Esplanad & Unioninkatu 27) and one in Tallinn they opened nearly a year ago (Foorum keskus Narva Mnt 5). In addition they have a webstore to serve clients from all over the world. From the very beginning, the idea behind the concept has been to create fitted shirts for conscious customers, to be an expert of shirts as said by themselves. As said, the main product Schoffa offers is shirts. First and foremost made-to-measure shirts but nowadays ready to wear-shirts as well. All the shirts (mtm and rtw) are...
