How to wear monochrome colors

Can men wear outfits featuring monochrome colors? Usually when talking about "how to combine colors" or "how to wear different colors together", one of the first rules is to ensure that you have enough contrast between different pieces of your outfit. In general there are at least two points that should always be kept in mind. Wear a shirt that is lighter than your jacket Wear a tie that is darker than your shirt id="attachment_9466" align="alignnone" These Carmina double monks are probably the most worn pair in my rotation at the moment. They are suitable with suits, flannel slacks and even with denim. Sum Up  In general monochrome outfits are more appropriate for semi-casual occasions. For the most formal or business-oriented ones...

Brown vintage A-1 leather jacket - Casual Saturday

I'm not really that fond of leather jackets. Or to be exact, I do like leather jackets and there are some really good looking ones on the market but usually I find it hard to pull them off so that they would look good on me. Cotton suit jacket and denim slacks

Starting the week with a few sneak peak shots from last weekend... Later this week  I will come up with some more detailed thoughts about cotton suits, their versatility and how to wear a (camel colored) cotton suit - as a suit and separately. Wearing a Sauma Private Label jacket (part of a suit) and dark blue denim slacks from Finealta. The light blue striped oxford cloth shirt is from Herrainpukimo and cognac colored calf leather double-monks made by Cheaney for Shipton&Heneage. Knitted tie also made by Sauma and pocket contrast border pocket square from Berg&Berg.

Day 2 @ Lake Como

The second day of our vacation we spent touring around the town of Bellagio.  For the day I wore my new cotton/linen slacks from Finealta, Isaia chambray-shirt and suede loafers by Christian Kimber. "Casual and relaxed yet chic" but most of all light enough to stay cool at the sun strolling around up and down the little streets. For dinner put on the Tombolini striped blazer and brown silk knitted tie by Sauma. Pink camouflage pocket square from P.Johnson Tailors.
