Isaia S/S ´14 @ Pitti Uomo 84

After the review of Eidos Napoli (See here) it’s natural to move towards the “big brother” and take a look at Isaia. There’s really not much need to say anything about Isaia in general; once again they brought up a collection that represents Neapolitan tailoring as its best, is candy for the eye and destructive for your wallet. S/S ´14 - inspired by music The link and inspiration behind the S/S ´14 is music and songs, traditional in the culture of Neapolitan tailoring. In collection the songs are transformed into colorful clothes with a color palette almost like a rainbow; there’s shades ranging from green, to yellow, passing through red and orange, always to purple, pink and turquoise. As usual...

15/2013 - blurry white&blue monday

Weekly WIWT-round - try-out In the beginning of the year I wrote I would try to come up with some outfit-posts more often… One of the reasons I haven’t been posting them so much and the main reason that when I do I only do the “detail  shots” is that it’s a bit hard (and time-taking) to shoot the pics just by yourself. However and due some questions and messages I’ve decided to try and live up my words and at least for now will try to come up with a some kind of an outfit post once every week. Even though I’m done with my vacation for this summer and so back at work the dress code during summer...

Eidos Napoli @ Pitti Uomo 84

Eidos Napoli was one of the brands I was most looking forward to see during this summer’s Pitti Uomo.  Eidos - that in some instances has been described as a younger brother of Isaia - was firstly introduced in the spring as they presented their collection for fall ´13 and now made its first appearance at Pitti Uomo, Florence. Even though Eidos is in fact own by Isaia these brands should be considered totally separated as they have quite distinct perspective on how to wear tailored clothing, distinct target groups as well as distinct price point. The collection is designed by Antonio K. Ciongoli, who earlier worked as a deputy creative director for Michael Bastian's designer collection as well as the Gant by Michael...

Eleventy @ Pitti Uomo 84

Eleventy's style in general can be described to be deliberated yet sober, characterized by a personal tone. Collections don't feature visible logos but still most of the pieces can be identified with the “house style” of the brand which combines elegance with comfort and classic feel with a modern and fresh reinterpretation. S/S ´14 The main theme of the S/S ´14 collection is the soft and easy fit which idea is to ensure that any body type can find the best fit which is not too dry but which has a chic and sober effect. The fabrics used in the collection are mostly jersey, denim, lightweight wools and stretch nylon, all of which have been made to weigh less. Color scheme that...

Bow-Tie shoes @ Pitti Uomo 84

One of the best things of visiting Pitti is finding brands you haven't been aware of earlier. Or brands of which you've maybe heard sometimes but don't really have much info about. One of the less-known brands I came up with this time was a Spanish shoe brand Bow-Tie. Bow-tie shoes - inspired by British tradition and heritage Bow-Tie is a Spanish brand and manufacturer that finds inspiration from the British tradition and heritage. In terms of shoes Bow-Tie shoes have three different lines. First of all there's Premium Gold Series which consists of shoes made exclusively of shell cordovan leather by Horween. Second one is Classic line that includes various versions of dress shoes in different leathers and models with the goodyear welt-construction....
