Borgioli Fratelli shoes @ Pitti Uomo.

Borgioli Fratelli was the first stand I actually stopped to check out and to take some pictures during our visit at Pitti. A brand and shoemaker from Tuscany that is not that well-known for many but which has been making beautiful and personal handcrafted shoes for its customers since 1946. In these shoes traditional constructions are combined with high-quality materials and attention to detail.  In the collection there are many eye catching details such as interchangeable buckles with matching belts, unusual shapes with unusual colors and soft oxfords made of drum-dyed calfskin, decorated with the Fratelli Borgioli fleur-de-lis in natural leather. S/S ´13 collection includes following 6 different lines. 1) MICRO ONDA Derby/blucher model with an edgy, youthful look. Made of natural white calfskin and patent leather in...

Mismo Bags @ Pitti Uomo.

Refined classics for a vibrant lifestyle since 2006. No compromises but the best in everything, aiming to create instant classics that will last for years in terms of design and durability. And if you ask me, they’ve succeed perfectly. Mismo combines premium construction, high quality materials, great and versatile choices in colors, carefully designed details and inspirational styling.  Mismo bags are made in Turkey from custom developed leathers exclusively dyed and treated for Mismo. The designs of the bags on one hand are pretty simple and elegant, on the other hand very functional and versatile....

The company that manufactured clothing for both men and women until the 1920s (when it decided to drop the women line) is still controlled and run by the fourth generation of the Bianchi family. As expected the Lubiam stand at this summer Pitti Uomo was absolutely one of my favorites. It was the last day we went to see it (quiet, not that much people around, so we got all the time we wanted to see through the collection) and I have to admit that I really enjoyed just to walk around the stand looking at the set...
