While Pitti Uomo in Florence I had a chance to do three quick shoots featuring days 1, 2 and 3 with Neil Watson of A&H Magazine. Credit and hat tip to Neil, a dear friend and one of the most talented guys there is for perfectly capturing the details. Double-breasted linen blazer to beat the heat For the second day I chose to balance between light and darker colors and shades. I wore a lightweight G.Abo Napoli double-breasted blazer made of Loro Piana indigo dyed linen, blue-striped Kamakura button-down shirt and Finealta "diversity" cotton slacks. The dark green checked linen tie from Berg&Berg is partly (but not too much) matched in tones to the string loafers from Carmina. Bracelets are...
Oppermann London just recently launched a new line called “surfaces” which as the name implicates is centered around a duality of surfaces. Bags of the line features tumbled leather from Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden and a smooth trim leather from Italy combined together resulting as sharp and understated look. With a softer leather, the bags are designed to show a more relaxed silhoutte and aesthics than the classics line of the company, but still to keep an elegant and business-oriented appearance. At the moment the Surfaces collection includes a briefcase and a compact weekend bag both in black color. All the products of the line are made in Italy. As one who has been looking for a new weekender / duffle...
To get the week properly started and go on with the Pitti reviews it’s time for some Isaia goodies. SS15 - Coral bandana collection Inspired by and dedicated to the Amalfi Coast and its rich and varied heritage. That’s what the spring and summer 2015 collection of Isaia is about. Color schemes for the season are taken directly from this UNESCO World Heritage site that boasts some of the world's most beautiful panoramas. Once again Isaia presents personal and unique designs & impeccable craftsmanship. The collection is as usual colorful and heavily patterned as one would expect of Isaia. In terms of colors there are blue, pink, some grey and yellowish that dominate the selection together with a bunch of turquoise and...
For many Luigi Bianchi Mantova of Lubiam is not as well known as LBM1911-brand but the line’s collections for sure has the required characteristics to satisfy the needs of even a more demanding customer looking for pieces to fill one’s business-wardrobe. Inspiration for the upcoming fall collection arises from 1960's optical patterns featuring graphic macro checks, madras, micro designs, damier motifs and Prince of Wales-checks in different shades. The color scheme is kept restrained and earthy - making it easy to combine these pieces together. Double-breasted overcoats and suits featuring wool- and cashmere blends together with vests - offered both with matching suits or alone - top off the selection. One of the interesting choices in terms of materials is the intertwining of...
Danish Mismo has established a solid supporter base. And it has happened for a reason. For myself visiting the stand for not just see the collection but also to have a chat with Adam (the co-founder and owner of Mismo) is one of the routines during Pitti week. The visit and collection for upcoming spring and summer did not disappoint, once again Mismo came up with an inspiring range featuring their popular basic pieces together with some seasonal and new innovations. Full post and more pictures now @tyylit.fi For more posts regarding Mismo - check here. For the next season there were basically two new colors featured on the canvas bags - very strong & bright blue and the “rustic...
