In the morning it was time to head back to office after three weeks of vacation. Ended up making it easy and playing safe by going with my favorite suit from Caruso together with some subtle shades of blue for shirt and tie. It was nice to be on vacation but it’s also good to be back at work.

As the guys from Isaia were last time visiting Helsinki and Fere I got a chance to make an order for my other mtm-shirt by them. Regarding the process in general, check the post I wrote earlier from here. This time I decided to go for something a bit more “summerish” and ended up with a chambray-fabric featuring quite a wide spread collar and naturally “neapolitan” shoulders. The cloth itself is very lightweight, suitable to be worn in the office with a suit and a tie but works as well when worn with just a pair of cotton slacks or shorts. During my trip in New York last month I got the chance to drop by and pay a visit at Isaia’s showroom on the 5th Avenue. A while ago I wrote about the collection as it was seen at Pitti Uomo for the first time, so I’m not gonna go there that much again but you can find my review and more pics from here. Although whereas the presentation at Pitti concentrated highly on the sportswear and casual selection, it was great to see the whole ensemble featuring also the more business- ja formal-oriented side of the line at the showroom. Last day of the week with a couple meetings to go through. No need for a full suit so ended up going with a pretty much “uniform look” in flannel featuring what else but simple colors mainly in tones of blue and grey.
