Isaia F/W ´14 @ Pitti Uomo 85

Upcoming fall and winter ´14 collection presented by Isaia at Pitti Uomo featured bunch of contemporary yet traditional and chic looks inspired by the Neapolitan Cuisine - "Cucina Napoletana". As the traditional Neapolitan cuisine features plates full of strong and vibrant Italian culture, the collection of Isaia creatively integrates the color palette and richness of the dishes into the garments starting from the deep red of tomatoes to the rust of ravioli and from the warm hues of ochre to the brown shades of coffee and espresso. Isaia S/S ´14 @ Pitti Uomo 84

After the review of Eidos Napoli (See here) it’s natural to move towards the “big brother” and take a look at Isaia. There’s really not much need to say anything about Isaia in general; once again they brought up a collection that represents Neapolitan tailoring as its best, is candy for the eye and destructive for your wallet. The first part of the collection relies on blue & green and includes pieces such as the blue suit with a bold green windowpane pattern, blue double-breasted chalkstripe suit, blue / grey checked peacoat and my personal favorite, the grey three-piece windowpane suit...

ISAIA - Neapolitan tradition

Three weeks ago during the mtm-days @ Fere I met Tommaso and Davide of ISAIA.  A few words and pictures of that day… One of the reasons for my visit was to make an order for a new shirt. So the first thing I did was going through a bunch of fabrics. As normally most of my shirts are light blue or plain white, I decided to look for something a bit bolder. Believe me, not an easy task to make up your mind… checks x checks x checks… Quality points of Isaia mtm-shirts: - Hand made buttonholes - Buttons hand sewn with a coral shape - Armhole stitched and basted by hand - Hand sewn mouche used as a little reinforcement -...
