Bespoke tie by Arcuri Cravatte

Today taking a look of a Bespoke tie made by Italian Arcuri Cravatte. In terms of ties word bespoke is pretty much the same than made-to-order. I got a chance to try  "bespoke tie service" by  Linkson Jack and Arcuri Cravatte. What is this  bespoke tie service all about? After receiving the offer from Linkson I decided to take the chance. A couple weeks ago my new bespoke tie was delivered. Now as I've already got few chances to wear it, it's time to take a little closer look. Grenadine ties First few words about grenadine ties. This type of ties are produced with a complex weave which creates a beautiful, variegated texture. In general there are two types  of grenadine - garza grossa (large...

Meet up with Passaggio Cravatte

In January during Pitti Uomo I had a pleasure to meet with Gianni Cerutti , a young man from Robbio, Italy. Gianni is a guy with a truly passion for ties and he is also the man behind the bespoke tie company “Passaggio Cravatte”. Gianni says he finds his inspiration from the past and old archives and describes his own style to be much of a dandy-like; elegant and classic but with a touch of “funny and perceptible” elements included. It’s noteworthy that when we met with Gianni and his partner Marta, Gianni was wearing matching tie and pocket square. Something many would consider being a “serious” misstep that should never be done. But this more or less this is the personality of...

Luca Giusto & Giusto Bespoke

In January, before traveling to Pitti Uomo I got an invite from Luca to come and visit his showroom while staying in Florence. Even though the days there are pretty busy and mostly dedicated to going around the fair I was more than happy to take the chance and opportunity and pay Giusto Bespoke a visit. The company run by Luca (who can be said has learned from the best as he worked years for Liverano before starting a business) has been going now for a bit more than three years. It is mainly concentrated on ties and shirts (both handmade) but offers as well an exclusive bespoke tailoring services for private clients. Most of the ties are seven-folds but they also...

Few words with Berg&Berg

When I saw the first pics and previews of Norwegian based Berg&Berg S/S ´13 collection, I was really impressed and inspired. I’ve had few experiences of their products and so far I’ve been really happy and satisfied with them. A while ago I approached Mathias and Karin to ask their thoughts about the new collection and they were kind to take the time to answer the questions in the middle of all the rush and hurry as they’ve just been launching the collection. And now I’m happy to share the answers with you all.  1) How would you describe the S/S collection? M: It´s classic and colourful, but it´s made with a Scandinavian eye. That means that we have tried to work...

DressLikeA - visit to Drake's London

Style, comfort and quality Drake’s opened it’s store @ No.3 Clifford Street in May 2011. Since then it has been one of the places I always go while visiting London. Watching these pieces in pictures is really nothing compared to the feeling you get when handling and trying them on in person and getting a sense of the quality of the workmanship and materials used in them. The store that’s situated in the heart of Mayfair, between Savile Row and Bond Street is itself worth to visit. Before Drake’s opened it’s doors, the building used to be the home of a prestigious art and antiques Gallery, known for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco drawings, paintings, and posters. And as said...
