I just noticed that A Fine Pair of Shoes is having a limited sale including some of their Alfred Sargent (and Sanders) shoes as well as some socks from corgi and shoe trees. The discount is approximately 20% for all the shoes which brings the handgrade-range pairs by AS under 400£ and exclusive-range around 300£ per pair. Most pairs are only available in limited sizes. Picked a few favorites that are worth checking out. I’m not that much of a fan of brogue-oxfords but the Hunt-model by AS is definitely one of the most beautiful pairs in this category. Would work especially well with suits and wool- / flannel slacks in the office. In terms of double monks Ramsey in snuff suede is...
DLA x Berg&Berg - Tie your tie sneak peek I wrote earlier shortly about the new f/w collection by Berg&Berg (check the post here). Recently Mathis and Karin were kind to send a few items from the collection for a review. The ties I selected from the collection, including some cashmere, wool and grenadine & shantung silk are shown in the pics above. As you can see, I ended up with pretty basic and toned down choices - both in terms of patterns and colors. Will soon come up with few points how to combine different colors and materials and “how to tie your tie”. All of these have already seen more or less use, for more detailed pics check...
Season after season Loro Piana comes up with collections that underlines the ease, elegance and form of Italian style of being dressed-up but still casual and "chic" together with Italian craftsmanship. For the season on hand the collection shows full range of garments combining casual and “cosy” gear together with classic elements and style. The look book of the season offers multiple ideas of how to combine white or light colored trousers into your fall and winter wardrobe - here together with blue oxford and grey cashmere. The jacket made of lighweight Finnish buckskin - exclusive for Loro Piana. Casual elegance x luxury materials Italian Loro Piana has been said to be more than a label. It’s been described as a one familys’...
As Friday was kind of casual for me (no meetings) decided to go with some dark colored denim slacks from Finealta and pair them with the db-blazer from Lardini and white light weight merino wool roll neck from Sand. Most of times I’ve been wearing the blazer with lighter colored trousers but this time wanted a bit darker to bring some contrast to the light colored upper half. Brown double monks by Carmina (via Vaatturiliike Sauma).
So here’s Friday’s fit in details.
As a Thursday throwback taking a look of G.Abo Napoli, a brand I guess many people interested in #menswear have heard but still do not much much about. In June while Pitti Uomo in Florence I paid a visit at their "showroom" together with the guys from Sauma to take a bit closer look of their offerings for the next spring and summer season. G.Abo Napoli - neapolitan tailoring G.Abo is a company run by two cousins - Gianfranco and Giuseppe. In 2006 decided to bring back alive an old family company originally founded by their grandfather. By mixing tradition and fashion with a pretty distinctive Neapolitan house style the company wants to offer well-made garments still featuring a reasonable price tag. For...
