Got today in the mail a catalog showcasing the collection for this fall and winter by Spanish MAN 1924, a company run and made known by Mr. Carlos Castillo and his partners. The garments by MAN 1924 combine the feeling of British elegance and Italian nonchalance and bring together classic, sartorial style with casual wear and one might say even a bit sporty touch. The pieces shown in the looks are put together in a way that shows the well balanced mix of “both worlds” and they at the same time demonstrates that these garments can be combined for many different occasions without having to think too hard. Family business since 1924 The original brand called MAN was founded in Madrid...
Taking a look to the recent takes via instagram as I’ve unfortunately been too busy to post more frequently during the last weeks. Will try to do my best to get back on track. As said before, I don't update the IG-feed on a daily basis but some sneak peeks of what I wear and what I do as well and some other things I find personally interesting can be found from there on more regular pace. So for more wiwt- and other pics - check and follow @dresslikea A shot from last Sunday, this time a bit more formal weekend attire. Tagliatore casentino overcoat, MTM-flannel suit via Vaatturiliike Sauma, Carmina doublemonks and tie by Berg&Berg My favorite brown toe-cap oxfords...
Starting the week again with an outfit from the weekend, this time something a bit more casual - Field jacket together with a chunky roll neck and cotton slacks. Beams Plus garment dyed M-65 jacket The field jacket worn is an impulse purchase I copped from Florence during the last Pitti Uomo. A little bit funny is that the jacket (made by Japanese Beams+) is sized as “large”, though it fits me (as seen) perfectly on the shoulders and by no means is not too large at any point. At first I was thinking about taking it in a bit but as the straps on the waist and on the hem can be tightened there’s no need for that at this...
Getting the week started with some shots from Saturday. Had a great day going through some second-hand shops in Helsinki and after that enjoying some burgers at the best burger joint in town at the Market Hall. As the day was luckily rainless, though a bit windy I ended up wearing my woolen overcoat in addition to sweater and a sport coat - all featuring different shades of blue. And so that it would not be too monochromatic a little splash of color in the form of scarf with restraint beige and bold orange in the gloves. Herringbone in the overcoat, checks on the sport coat. Some say you should never wear your overcoat unbuttoned. So I buttoned it. Some...
