"How to combine casual footwear part III" - black tassel loafers

I start this week with the third part of short "series" how to combine casual footwear. These features have included three sets of different kind of loafers from French shoemaker Bexley. In this last part I take a closer look of a pair of black tassel loafers. Some might claim that it's not right to talk about "casual footwear" when the pair in hand is in fact a pair of black calf leather tassel loafers. Actually the pair in question is presented in the "dress shoe"-category at Bexleys website as well. But that's not all they are.  Black tassel loafers - versatile choice for business and casual Despite the fact that black tassel loafers  in general are a perfect choice for a...

Combining casual footwear - driving mocs part II

Starting this week with the second part of short “series” - how to combine casual footwear - including three sets of wearing different kind of loafers, partly in collaboration with French shoemaker Bexley.  Fall is probably the best season for layering as the weather starts to get a bit colder especially during mornings and evenings but most of days are still warm and sunny. I’ve been really bad and lazy in terms of answering questions but I will try to mend my way on this. I will actually start going through the questions on weekly basis and have every Sunday a round-up of the questions with answers. So if you have something in mind - please feel free to shoot! And starting with a few couple of questions I’ve got just recently. Q: “I love the shine on your shoes! What method do you use to take care of / shine them?” A: First of all, thanks for this! Although I need to admit that for a while now I haven’t been really active in terms of polishing my shoes. For some reason I’ve...

5x Spring essentials

It’s once again that time of the year when everyone are thinking their spring (and maybe already summer) essential-pieces. So did we as well at tyylit.fi and here’s what I personally came up with. This is one my all-time favorite photos (from Pitti Uomo, by The Sartorialist). Capturing most of my own essentials for this spring. Blue blazer Well, it doesn’t really matter what season are we talking about - this one belongs to every list. It’s only a matter of construction and materials. For spring I personally favor lightweight wools or a bit “washed look” cotton. In the pictured jacket by Boglioli there’s 2% of elastane which makes it a bit more “soft” and easier to deal with for example...
