2014 - Sockless in Suede from Down Under

This week got a great start as I on Monday received a package from Australia including a pair of suede loafers and a new pocket square I ordered earlier. Both by my friend and highly talented Mr. Christian Kimber, one of the “new hopes” of #menswear. Keep an eye on this guy. The suit is wool / silk / mohair mixture by SuitSupply in a bit more bright blue, espeacially suitable for summer (and actually acquired to be worn at couple of upcoming summer weddings), white x light blue striped lightweight cotton twill shirt by Eton and brown linen tie by Berg&Berg to balance the ensemble.  Suit: SuitSupply Shirt: Eton of Sweden Tie: Berg&Berg Loafers and PS: Christian Kimber

2014 - casual @ work.

No meetings means denim (and naturally no socks) in the office. No surprises, playing with simple and solid colors. As mentioned yesterday, white cotton slacks are one my personal summer staples in terms of any even little more dressed-up occasions. But when it comes to those more casual set ups, four out of five times my choice is a classic field jacket and light colored denim. The rest depends on the day, this time ended up with a lightweight merino-wool crew neck sweater, white button-up to keep the balance and finally spice it up a little with those Buttero tanino-sneakers. Field Jacket: JC Crewneck sweater: Uniqlo Shirt: Schoffa Jeans: Cheap Monday Belt: Ralph Lauren  Sneakers: Buttero Bag: Mismo

2014 black x white x blue - Saturday night details

I don’t usually wear that much of black (except shoes and in occasions when in need for a formal suit / tuxedo), basically because of the dominance and intransigence of black which makes it sometimes hard to combine black pieces with other colors. However have recently been getting a fair share of #blackswag-propaganda so decided to use my old Uniqlo cashmere-merino wool cardigan as a layer when heading out for drinks last night. Sport coat: L.B.M 1911 Cashmere cardigan: Uniqlo Shirt: Kamakura  Trousers: Berwich Shoes: Alfred Sargent (MTO) Knit tie: Boggi PS: P.Johnson Tailors
