I have written earlier about Italian Gran Sasso - mostly known for their high-quality knitwear. The company makes all kind of knitwear under their own label but they also produce garments for multiple well-known brands that are then sold under their private label lines. In addition to knitwear Gran Sasso also makes a full selection of light weight and unstructured sport coats, blazers and gilets - even though these are not as often in the spotlight. Gran Sasso double-breasted gilet This time taking a look of Gran Sasso double-breasted herringbone cotton gilet I got from Vaatturiliike Sauma after getting back from Pitti Uomo and that I was wearing as we visited in Jyväskylä during the weekend. I had actually had...
Form and function influenced by appreciation for timeless design, durable natural materials and performance - that’s what Danish Mismo is about. They are about to making products where designs embrace the synergy between aesthetics and purpose. The bags merge robust fabrics made exclusively for the company, lush premium leathers with high endurance zips, brass hardware and often graphic textures. Each piece includes only what is needed to fit the purpose, nothing more, nothing less. Mismo fall and winter 2015As usual - in terms of the collection that was seen at Pitti Uomo - Mismo made no shortcomings and it seems that there is a really nice and versatile selection coming to stores next fall. The collection is strongly based on classic and known Mismo-designs spiced...

Before the weekend a short review of instagram-shots - basically featuring only wiwt-lookdowns - taken during the last few weeks. As said earlier I don't update the feed on a daily basis but some sneak peeks of what I wear and what I do as well and some other things I find personally interesting can be found from there on more regular pace. Italian The Gigi presented at Pitti Uomo now their third full collection. With an aim to experiment and to create new innovations in terms of materials, processing techniques and finishes the collection continues to renew the view and understanding of classic #menswear. In general it could be said there was not much new or revolutionary presented during the fair in Florence - which for anyone - like me - who values simplicity and minimalism is pretty much a good thing. That said the approach by The Gigi and the way of thinking by Boglioli brothers Mario and Pierluigi that clearly differs from many classic #menswear brands and takes us away from the comfort zone - while still paying attention to the quality -...
Today the ensemble I wore was pretty much as colorful as the weather at the moment - Shades of gray featuring a bit of black. The day was quite a basic day in the office with a couple of meetings, so I opted for a light weight wool sport coat by Lubiam combined with the lighter grey flannel slacks (part of a suit) from Sauma and the mid-grey woolen tie I copped from Berg&Berg winter sales a few weeks ago. Even though I rarely wear black shoes for the office these days - for this combination these black oxfords by Alfred Sargent were the optimal choice.
