For the spring and summer ´15 by Eton has gone far, some might say pretty unlikely sources to find inspiration. In terms of prints there are influences taken for example from the TWA Terminal at JFK Airport designed by the Finnish architect Eero Saarinen resulting as a unique airplane print seen on shirts, scarves and pocket squares and inspiration from Hawaii displayed as a distinctive sunset palm prints for the casual shirts. For a more traditional business look with “a modern twist”, the collection features shirts with small prints and micro-patterns such as small paisley print and a sophisticated floral shaped dots. As before, one of the things that is worth mentioning in terms of the collection is the versatility. Some of the designs can fairly be...
One more time - Monochromatic blues in Florence
Another set of pictures from Pitti Uomo (from day 1) courtesy of TSBmen and A&H Magazine, shot by Neil Watson.
I’ve never been much of fan of all monochromatic looks but decided to go full blue-on-blue-on-blue for the first day of the fair. Double-breasted suit from SuitSupply, denim shirt (mtm) by Schoffa and mto-tie by Arcuri Cravatte via Linkson Jack. The only things bringing some contrasting colors are the pocket square from Christian Kimber and Portolio by Ralph Lauren in orange. Shoes are made-to-order pair by Alfred Sargent.

While Pitti Uomo in Florence I had a chance to do three quick shoots featuring days 1, 2 and 3 with Neil Watson of A&H Magazine. Credit and hat tip to Neil, a dear friend and one of the most talented guys there is for perfectly capturing the details. Double-breasted linen blazer to beat the heat For the second day I chose to balance between light and darker colors and shades. I wore a lightweight G.Abo Napoli double-breasted blazer made of Loro Piana indigo dyed linen, blue-striped Kamakura button-down shirt and Finealta "diversity" cotton slacks. The dark green checked linen tie from Berg&Berg is partly (but not too much) matched in tones to the string loafers from Carmina. Bracelets are...
Oppermann London just recently launched a new line called “surfaces” which as the name implicates is centered around a duality of surfaces. Bags of the line features tumbled leather from Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden and a smooth trim leather from Italy combined together resulting as sharp and understated look. With a softer leather, the bags are designed to show a more relaxed silhoutte and aesthics than the classics line of the company, but still to keep an elegant and business-oriented appearance. At the moment the Surfaces collection includes a briefcase and a compact weekend bag both in black color. All the products of the line are made in Italy. As one who has been looking for a new weekender / duffle...
Couple of weeks ago I headed to Turku to see the guys @Herrainpukimo, have a little chat with them and most of all to check out their new made-to-measure suiting programme. The guys have been offering mtm-shirts for a couple of years now (read more about the shirts here) and this summer they moved forward to offer suits, sport coats and other tailored mtm-clothing as well. More detailed post regarding the steps of the process and final results coming up later but first some pictures as a heads up and sneak peek. As mentioned the shop is located in Turku but next week on Monday the guys are coming up to Helsinki for a “trunk show” and to take measurements...
