Last day of the week with a couple meetings to go through. No need for a full suit so ended up going with a pretty much “uniform look” in flannel featuring what else but simple colors mainly in tones of blue and grey.
Wool blazer by Mabro and checked blue mtm-shirt by Isaia. Trousers made of lighweight dark grey flannel (Finealta) and lighter grey cashmere tie from Viola Milano. Pocket square by Schoffa and shoes (which definitely needed to be sweeped after taking the shot) made by Crockett&Jones for Paul Smith.
Summer keeps getting closer and closer and that means wedding-season is almost just around the corner as well. In case you already have occasions booked at your calendar (I luckily will have at least two) here’s few inspirational outtakes by Swedish Rose&Born. If the invitation says “black tie” - this is your way to do it. If it says something else, forget this. Dark grey is a safe choice, double-breasted jacket brings it to be a bit more distinguishable. Also the collar pin makes the ensemble a bit “dandyish” but as weddings are suppose to be joyous celebration, it’s definitely acceptable. Maybe the most “traditional and essential” option of the ones pictured, blue single-breasted suit together with a...
Korean Finealta released their new spring and summer collection last week. I had earlier got some sneak peeks of the collection but now that it's available at the web shop it's time to take a little closer look of my personal favorite in terms of trouser makers. Finealta spring and summer 2014 - Something old - something new In the new collection there's three new models in addition to old diversity (regular lightweight cotton chino trousers) and roadster (5-pocket jeans like chino) which both now comes in new colors. First one of new models is the Traveller - a flannel alike light grey colored pair made of soft cotton-jersey fabric. This is a pair made for (as the name says) for travelers who...
Lardini recently opened their renewed website and as a part of that they launched their new journal. At the Journal they have started a series called “Lardini Talks” featuring interviews of some of the personalities linked to the “Lardini world”.
Few weeks ago I was asked if I wanted to answer few questions and be featured at the series. Of course my answer was yes. Really honored and happy to be a part and in case you’re interested, you’ll find my answers from here.
And here’s one of my favorite outfits from the archives, featuring a Lardini silk-linen jacket, Schoffa mtm denim shirt and grenadine tie, Berwich trousers and Crockett&Jones suede loafers.
It’s been years since my last (and so far only) visit in New York. This week heading back to spend few days with #menswear, burgers, friends and sports. In terms of shops to visit and places to see listing all of them would be impossible. However there are few places I’m really looking forward to visit during the week; some because of the selection, some because of the atmosphere and overall aesthetics, some because of the people and some because of all these… Carson Street Clothiers Eidos, AMI, Buttero, Barena, MAN1924 etc.. The brand list itself would make CSC worth a visit. However there’s so much more in this SoHo located shop that just celebrated it’s first “birthday”. Sharing the same educational...
