Checked sport coat and details

Whereas I like to keep my suits quite simple and plain, in terms of sport coats I rather go for plaids, checks or some other lively patterns. For today a few detail shots from last week. Featured in the pics is a checked cotton sport coat by Pal Zileri that I don't actually wear that often nowadays but that is a great piece for relaxed casual office days. Checks and details I bought the jacket in pictures a couple of years go from Milan. As mentioned, it hasn't got as much wear as many of my other jackets which might partly be because of the shoulder structure which is a bit more padded that most of my other jackets. Another...

Brasserie Kämp - Sunday Burgers

Finally it seems that summer is here. Last weekend was sunny and warm, so it was perfect for strolling around and enjoying the city. On Sunday we decided to head to Brasserie Kämp and see if they really serve one of the best burgers in town - as is often claimed. Blue suit with green knitted tie

Today was just another day after vacation back at the office. Even though not that much meetings on the schedule yet - it feels good to be back in the game. This is what I mainly wear to work, softly tailored suit, button-up shirt and a tie. This time I chose to wear blue mtm-suit with restrained black overcheck. Blue suit with green knitted tie In my opinion knitted ties are a good choice to wear at the office. Especially if you have a bit more casual day. I wear here a dark blue suit in lightweight wool, striped shirt and bottle green knitted. Finally I added a bit of color in a form of flower-patterned pocket square and as the...

Suit up - Back to work details

After second part of my summer vacation it was time to get back to office. Decided to go with my favorite suit - a made-to-measure piece from Sauma, made of light weight wool cloth by Vitale Barberis. Striped shirt from Mastai Ferretti, bottle green grenadine tie from Viola Milano and linen pocket square by Berg&Berg. Dressed up but something that could be called as office casual. Suit: Vaatturiliike Sauma Shirt: Mastai Ferretti Tie: Viola Milano PS: Berg&Berg

Shantung silk tie - between formal and casual

Raw silk ties are among the most versatile pieces of neck wear there is. In case you are looking for an option that can easily be dressed up or down, shantung silk tie is a preferable option. In this post I take a look of an outfit featuring a solid brown shantung silk tie. An option that was one of three we wanted to have in the first DLA-selection as well. The tie in this post is handmade in Italy by Viola Milano that I got back in the days. I have chosen to wear it here with an outfit I feel it is most suitable to wear with. The rich texture of shantung tie brings just the right kind of...
