It's been quite a crazy busy week - so starting the weekend with just a few detail shots from today. Woke up this morning at 5am to get ready for a work-related TV-interview, which can be seen from my face at the pics.

Yesterday was Mother's Day which we also celebrated by having lunch with my family at NJK, located at a little island just at the front of Helsinki. As the day was sunny and quite warm (despite the wind) decided to go for quite light shades and lightweight materials.
And this time as we also had an "outside" photographer (my brother), I got my best accessory to the picture as well€¦ Can't do this often as she totally leaves me in her shadow€¦

It's been quite a busy week so updates here at the blog have been a bit on hold. We celebrated the first of May yesterday quite casually by having brunch with a few friends of ours. I did not feel like wearing a suit as mentioned in the inspiration post here but as the weather was still quite chilly and windy I opted for a roll neck sweater, jersey blazer and a field jacket as top layer combined with denim and just washed Superga sneakers.

The last days of April here in Helsinki are always a little bit ambivalent. On one hand you can already start wearing loafers but on the other hand the weather is still favorable for those who want to keep wearing their winter jackets and roll neck sweaters. As I personally favor both (loafers without socks and roll necks), on Saturday I decided to combine them into one outfit.
Always there is no need for puffy or striking pocket square. Actually with this outfit one could have left the square totally out, even though white tv-fold is always a safe bet.
