Boxing Day dinner - Mix of bold patterns and classic combinations

Sometimes there ain't that much choices in terms of accessories. But how to make the best out of what you have in hand? An example and a few pictures from our Boxing Day dinner where I wore a tie I thought I would never wear again. Vintage tie for Boxing Day dinner Holidays are almost over. Tomorrow it’s time to head back to work. We spent our few days of vacation traveling. First to the Middle of Finland to visit my mother and then to Western Finland to visit my girlfriend’s parents. As we were on a train on Wednesday I realized I had left all my ties and pocket squares at home. For me Christmas is time to relax....

Christmas inspiration - Christian Kimber "The Passport"-lookbook

Yesterday was the darkest day of the year. Therefore it is good time to find inspiration from down under. Today taking a look at beaches of Australia where there is much more light and sun at the moment. This time the inspiration comes in a form of a look book by my dear friend, talented Christian Kimber. A few weeks ago Christian launched the look book showcasing his new Passport-collection. The photos of the look book were taken by Sebastian Petrovski, a Melbourne photographer at Jan Juc Surf Beach in Melbourne. The shots are modelled by Melbourne based artist Tre Samuels. Passport collection - inspired by beaches of Australia I have shortly wrote about the Passport collection earlier. The collection includes 4 different sneaker models...

Casentino wool overcoat with G.Abo Napoli gray flannel suit

Last few posts have been more or less on the casual side. As the last week at work before Christmas starts it is time to get back to business wear. Today taking a look of an outfit that is a bit more bold in terms of patterns and materials but restrained and simple in terms of colors and combining.  Wearing double-breasted casentino wool overcoat by Tagliatore. Double-breasted casentino wool overcoat – between formal and casual I need to admit I am a fan of Casentino cloth. The overcoat here is my first ever Casentino wool coat that I purchased in fall 2013. The jacket is double-breasted and the color is something between sand and camel. In addition to this one...

My wish list for Santa

It's almost Christmas again. This year I am not gonna write any kind of "gift guide lists" but instead - like last year - I decided to do a short write-up considering my own wish list for this Christmas. In other words listing of products or things what I'd like to buy for myself. Of course one can read this also as a set of "tips what to buy". So take a look this "DressLikeA"-wish list in case you haven't yet got any ideas and are still looking for something to get for your friends, parents or for your partner. Skincare, grooming products and fragrances Taking care of your body, skin, hair and scent are at least as important as taking...

Down parka jacket - Ralph Lauren RLX

Last Friday I wrote shortly about parka jackets. And earlier I have posted my thoughts about the Aspesi Lambrettone parka I acquired last spring. Today taking a bit different angle, getting ready for winter and going full casual. Most of my winter jacket are more on the formal side. So for quite a while I have been looking for a new casual and warm winter coat. In addition to that Aspesi jacket I don't really have anything in my rotation that would be fully appropriate to wear for example with denim and chunky knitwear. Especially for those days when it's snowing and temperature fall under -10° degrees my selection has been lacking a decent option. A while ago I got a chance to...
